Granulated Activated Carbon AGM

TS (technical specification) 6-16-2935-86

Activated carbons AGM-1 and AGM-2 are manufactured in the form of cylindrical granules from coal dust and adhesion agent by steam treatment at the excess of water vapor at the temperature of 850 — 950 °C.

Activated carbon AGM is in itself a porous material consisting basically of carbon.

Fine pores (micropores) and moderately developed transition pores (mesopores) provide proper intensity of penetration of adsorbed substance inside of the coal granules. Such property determined the application of activated carbons AGM for catching relatively poor sorbed ingredients or little quantity of vapors in gases. Moreover, activated carbons AGM can be applied for water purification from organic admixtures of different molecular sizes.
